Terms and conditions
General
These terms apply to photo print orders placed in the Gjafaland online shop. The seller is Gjafaland ehf., ID no. 460519-1280, Aðalstræti 24, 400 Ísafjörður. VAT no.: -. Email: sala@gjafaland.is, phone: -.
Orders
An order is binding once it has been confirmed and, for card payments, paid. You receive a confirmation by email. We may refuse an order, for example if its content breaks the law or infringes the rights of others.
Prices and payment
All prices are in Icelandic krónur and include VAT. There is no setup fee and no minimum order. You can pay by card online or in the shop on pickup, depending on the options available. Card payments are processed by Teya; we never see your card number.
Pickup
Orders are collected only from our shop at Aðalstræti 24, 400 Ísafjörður during opening hours (Mon-Fri 12:00-18:00, Sat 11:00-16:00). We email you, and send a text message if you gave a phone number, when your prints are ready. Stated processing times are estimates. Orders not collected within 90 days may be disposed of without refund.
Right of withdrawal
Prints are made from your own photos to your specifications. Under Icelandic Act no. 16/2016 on consumer contracts, the 14-day right of withdrawal therefore does not apply to them. You can cancel an order free of charge until we start working on it; contact us as soon as possible.
Defects and complaints
If a print is defective (e.g. wrong size, wrong paper or damaged), we will reprint it or refund it. Complaints must reach us within 14 days of pickup. We are not responsible for quality issues caused by the original image, such as low resolution or blur; we warn about low resolution while you order. Printed colours may differ slightly from your screen.
Your photos
You confirm that you have the right to print the photos you upload and that they do not break the law. Photos are used only to fulfil your order, are not shared with third parties and are deleted from our server after the order is completed.
Personal data
We process your name, email, phone number and order details only to fulfil your order and contact you about it, in line with the Icelandic Data Protection Act no. 90/2018. You can request access to or deletion of your data by emailing sala@gjafaland.is.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Icelandic law. Disputes may be referred to the Icelandic Complaints Committee on Goods and Services (kærunefnd vöru- og þjónustukaupa).
